Players will fall into the following age classifications within the YDP:
- Mite—birth years 2005+ and 2004
- Squirt—birth years 2003 and 2002
- Pee Wee—birth years 2001 and 2000
- Bantam—birth years 1999 and 1998
- Midget—birth years 1997 and earlier
