2008-2009 Registration Instructions

The following provides detailed instructions on registering for the Firewagon Yellowjackets Youth Hockey Programs for the 2008-2009 Season. One important reminder is that this year each player is responsible for his or her individual USA Hockey registration. The registration is on-line at www.usahockeyregistration.com and the fees are paid directly to USA Hockey. The fee is $43, which includes $30 for USA Hockey registration and a $13 association fee for AHAI. This registration must me completed prior to signing up for any Yellowjackets Hockey programs, as the Yellowjackets registration process requires information provided through the USA Hockey registration. Registrations are effective for one year (September 1 - August 31). Upon registering, members will receive a USA Hockey confirmation. You will need to provide a copy of the confirmation to the Yellowjackets’ registrar as a requirement for participation.

Below is a two-step process outlining the procedures for registering for USA Hockey and then the Yellowjackets programs of your choice.

Step 1 – USA Hockey Registration 

The USA Hockey season goes from September 1 through August 31 of each year.

Online registration for the 2008-09 season will be available starting May 1, 2008.

From May 1 through July 31, there will be two seasons available for online registration:

  • 2007-08 (current) season registrations to allow new members to participate in summer leagues running from May through August.
  • 2008-09 (next) season registrations for people signing up for the next season that begins on September 1, 2008.

To Register

1.      Go to www.usahockeyregistration.com.

2.      Choose member type Ice Player/Coach.

3.      You must be 18 years of age to process a registration…. Check the box that acknowledges that YOU are 18 or older.

4.      Select the correct season – 2008-09.

5.      Follow the prompts…fill in all data correctly.

6.      Process payment – Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express (credit or debit card). A Visa gift card will also work.

7.      You may print your Confirmation page at this time. It will also be emailed to you immediately after the registration is completed. You will need this information to register with the Yellowjackets.

8.      Proceed to the Yellowjackets registration process

Each participant will pay the USA Hockey fee of $30 if age 7 or older. The USA Hockey fee is waived for age 6 (birth year 2002) and younger. The registration must still be completed to get the confirmation number. Participants will also pay any applicable Affiliate fee. This fee is $13 for AHAI. If a participant plays and coaches he/she pays only one registration fee.

Additional information:

The home address should be used for all participants. If a player lives in one state and plays in another, enter the home address and pay any applicable Affiliate fee. Any USA Hockey program in the country will accept the confirmation page/number.

Additional confirmation pages can be requested from the Welcome page of online registration. Click on the puck in the upper left corner and enter last name, date of birth and zip code. You can then print the page or send it to the email address you enter.

Step 2 – Firewagon Yellowjackets Hockey Registration

1.      Log on to the Yellowjackets Web site www.firewagonhockey.com.

2.      Log into the site by using the login link (you will need your password that you used to register previously - or if you cannot find it, request a new password and it will be e-mailed to you).

3.      Click on the Fall Registration Information 2008/2009 link and review the information and options.

4.      Once you have determined the programs you wish to enroll, click on the Registration link.

5.      Choose either Youth or Girls depending on the player you are registering.

6.      Fill in all information and choose your enrollment options.

7.      Remember to enter the 9 number 5 alpha confirmation into the “USAH Confirmation #” field.

8.      Click the link to save.

9.      If after pressing 'SAVE', an error is found on your registration form, you will be re-directed to the top of the registration form.  Please scroll down and fix errors found on registration form and click on 'SAVE' once more.

10.  After pressing save, you will be re-directed to a registration successfully completed page and will receive an emailed registration form in 2 - 5 minutes. If you do not receive an e-mailed registration form within 5 minutes, please check your Spam/Junk mail folder.

11.  Steps 4-10 can be repeated for additional players you wish to register.

12.  Print, sign and mail your registration documents, including your USA Hockey confirmation page along with your non-refundable fee of $515.00 to FireWagon Hockey Inc. P.O. Box 1854, Crystal Lake, IL 60039

It is extremely important to include a copy of your USA Hockey confirmation page, which includes a bar code, in your mailed documents. To automate the registration process the Yellowjackets registrar requires this bar code for scanning.

Registration Packets must include:

  • Signed copy of registration form.
  • USA Hockey Registration confirmation page with bar code.
  • $515 non-refundable deposit

Payment must be enclosed for your registration to be considered complete!
